ALDER

Alder is a comparatively lighter-weight wood with a balanced, full-bodied tone and good mid-range clarity. Aesthetically, Alder is light brown with tight pores and reasonable grain. Commonly used with opaque finishes, some pieces can look appealing with a trans finish.
