A classic choice for bodies and necks, mahogany is a fairly dense, medium to heavy wood, giving a warm and balanced tone with good depth.

Alder Body Wood

Alder is a comparatively lighter-weight wood with a balanced, full-bodied tone and good mid-range clarity.

Korina Body Wood

Korina, or white limba, is warm and resonant with great clarity and sustain. A lighter hardwood, related to mahogany, it has a fine grain that looks good natural or finished.

Swamp Ash Body Wood

Swamp Ash, or Southern Soft Ash, is a relatively lightweight wood, creamy in colour with appealing grain. It is highly resonant with a bright sound, and lends itself to natural or trans finishes.
